Calendar & policies

A clear studio rhythm for families.

Private lessons work best when the schedule, tuition, and expectations are calm and clear. Families begin with a first lesson, then move into monthly studio enrollment if the fit feels right.

How tuition works

Enrollment reserves a weekly studio place.

Tuition is not handled as one lesson at a time. After the paid first lesson, continuing families reserve a consistent weekly lesson time for the studio year. Tuition can be paid monthly, with semester payment available for families who prefer to plan ahead. Partner Lessons, Creative Musicianship Groups, preschool classes, and choir begin from an interest list only when enough compatible students can form a good group. Groups of three or more meet at a studio in downtown Palo Alto. Full dates, breaks, and studio expectations are included in the calendar and policies PDF above.

First lesson A real first lesson to meet, play, and see if the studio is the right fit.
Monthly or semester tuition Reserves the student's weekly lesson time during active enrollment.
Clear policies Calendar dates, breaks, and missed-lesson expectations are shared before enrollment.

How enrollment begins

A first lesson comes before a studio commitment.

The first lesson gives the student and teacher a chance to meet, make music, and see whether ongoing weekly enrollment feels right.

1. Request a first lesson Tell us about the student or group and what you are looking for.
2. Attend the first lesson The student gets a real lesson, not a sales appointment.
3. Decide on studio enrollment If it is a good fit, monthly enrollment options are shared.
